How To Upgrade Your Watersweb Hosting Account

You can easily upgrade or downgrade your Watersweb Hosting or Shop Kit Plus account.

Note: Please be advised that if you are wanting to switch from a plain hosting account to an SKP account, you will need to submit a helpdesk ticket, as the SKP is installed manually. Also, if you are wanting to downgrade from an SKP to a plain hosting account, you will need us to help you with removal of your cart files.

Please follow these instructions for upgrading or downgrading your website:

1. Login to your Billing Center account and then select Packages from the My Sites dropdown menu, as pictured below.

2. On the following screen, you'll see a listing of each web hosting and domain package you have with us.

3. Click the name of the package you'd like to upgrade. For example, if you're wanting to upgrade your Eco2000 account, you'd click the Eco2000 text, as shown above, in underlined blue.

4. On this screen, you'll see all your account details. Make sure you select the "Change the Existing Base Package Above To A New Base Package" radio button. (The other button allows you to add options such as an extra database or domain privacy. If you do add options, you must submit a helpdesk ticket so we can complete the process for you, after you've paid any invoices that have been generated.)

5. Select which account you'd like to upgrade (or downgrade) to. In the following case, the client has an SKPlus1000 and can upgrade to the SKPlus2000 or SKPlus4000. Or she can downgrade to one of our plain hosting packages. Just select the radio button and click Continue & Select New Add-ons button.

6. This screen will show the package you have selected, and give you options to select from. In this case, you can select domain privacy. Depending on which package you have, you may have other options. You can also choose not to change your options if you are happy with what you have. Once you have completed this step, click the Continue & Confirm Changes button.

7. On the next screen, you will either be told that you have a credit, or that an invoice has been generated. Or, if your switch is to a comparable account, you may not receive an invoice or a credit. In any case, if you are happy, go ahead and click the Continue & Apply Changes button. Otherwise, click the Go Back link underneath the button.

8.  This screen will show you how much you own or how much of a credit you have received. Just click the Back To My Packages button.

9. Once you have completed this process, you will need to pay your invoices, if one was generated. Follow these instructions to pay your invoice.
